Gemma is the Secretary for the UBAS Association.
She joined UBAS in 2017 while studying Human Biology at the University of Birmingham. During her four years on the Squadron there were too many highlights to count; Normandy and The Somme battlefield tours, ski trips, Alpine Eagle in Bavaria, flying solo and completing sector recce, to name a few. In her final year, she became Acting Pilot Officer whilst completing her master’s degree, trying to ensure that the blue lion spirit went on even through the challenges with COVID-19.
She now works in the food industry, having completed the Bakkavor Technical graduate scheme, and now works as a QA Manager in Bourne, Lincolnshire.
